Outfit dump

I've taken quite a few outfit posts recently, so I decided to lump them in one massive post. They're all Instagram edits because I'm lazy :3

Top - Topshop (how fitting!)
Skirt - Bodyline
Shoes - Demonia

Blouse - Offbrand, not sure of the store, the label is in Chinese
Jumperskirt - Innocent World
Tights - Tesco
Blazer  - Asda
Shoes - Secret Shop

I wore this to a job interview, I got the job! The guy said I looked very unique :3 The material of this jumperskirt is lovely, it moves so delicately and gracefully, especially in a light breeze!

Jumperskirt - Bodyline
Blouse - Hawes & Curtis
Socks - eBay
Shoes - Bodyline

My new Bodyline jumperskirt, I love it! However the corset doesn't seem as sturdy as the usual bodyline dresses, I had to remove the lacing as it pulled out the little gold loops :( I still love it though, I'll have to look into fixing the loops. My friend said "Welcome to the black, and slightly colourful parade" to me, which made me chuckle :')

One Piece - Bodyline
Tights - eBay
Socks - eBay
Shoes - Demonia
Bows - Handmade! I finally used my eyeball charms
Jumper - Miss Selfidge

Went for a kind of creepy cute/pastel goth look with this one, I like how it turned out! A random guy stopped me on my way home and said "you look beautiful" I couldn't tell if he was being sarcastic or not, but it still made me smile!

I'm currently waiting for some stuff in the post, I wish they'd get here! I went on a bit of a bodyline spree and ordered a new jumperskirt and some shoes.

Anyhoo, until next time, my lovely readers!

A day in London!

I went on a trip to London today that turned out a lot better than I had expected! It was actually a psychology trip for all the A-Level students, to the Freud museum. I have no pictures of the Freud museum as you weren't allowed to take any >.< But whilst I was in the Victoria & Albert museum, they were putting together a new exhibit. On Japanese street fashion! Primarily, LOLITA!

BTSSB and Alice and the Pirates I believe!

Moi Meme Moitie! <3

More BTSSB I think.

They had several mannequins and were in the process of putting up more, the curator noticed I was wearing lolita and asked for a picture with me in front of the mannequins! Being the simple being I am, I was so excited! It felt like a loli-pilgrimage! Another girl took a picture of me taking a picture of the mannequins. I felt so ridiculously happy! I think I was the first loli in the exhibit!

Besides lolita they were also putting up an Aristocrat, there was a punk loli, and a few traditional Japanese kimonos.

I'm still so so happy! So until next time,

Rocking Horse Shoes Appreciation Post.

I feel like I haven't updated in a while, so I decided to create a post dedicated to one of my favourite items of clothing ever, the Rocking Horse Shoe! Why is it one of my favourites? Well firstly, I love platforms, and clunky shoes in general, but secondly it seems to have lasted all the way from the roots of lolita, to the modern day, and is popular in many other styles, and just general Japanese street fashion.

Examples of Rocking Horse Shoes in general street fashion, thanks to Tokyo Fashion

Rocking Horse shoes in lolita, both old school and a newer style.

Another thing I love about rocking horse shoes is the amount of styles that they're available in, just looking at the Ultimate Rocking Horse Shoe Guide on EGL shows how all the designs differ from one another. You can get a pair that fit your every need.

In summary, I just really, really love rocking horse shoes.

Until next time, Fern x

Co-ordinate Planning!

I haven't updated in a while, so I decided to post some co-ordinates I've been planning, I'm still waiting for some things in the post so they may look a little different when I post the worn pictures :3

So here goes!
Outfit 1 Rundown
Skirt - Bodyline
Blouse - Bodyline
Top - Topshop
Hairclips - eBay
Shoes - Secretshop

I love how this one turned out! Kind of gothic/creepy cute, I was very surprised by the Bodyline skirt when I received it! It has a built in petti (same sort of weight as an AP built in petti) and the fabric is surprisingly thick.

Outfit 2 Rundown
Jumper - thrifted, The label inside says 'Honeysuckle' though
Skirt - Angelic Pretty, Fantastic Dolly print
Shoes - Irregular Choice

This one is for a friends birthday, its a meal so I wanted to be comfy and cute! We've also been lucky in Britain and been blessed with some lovely sunny weather recently, so I didn't want to be too stuffy.

I'll be posting worn outfit shots when I actually wear them out but for now I shall bid you adieu :3

Until next time, Fern x

Pet Peeves

I was doing my usual trawling through the internet and ogling possible things to buy, and I have this list of things that always manage to annoy me for some reason.

1) Non removable waist ties.
Waist ties annoy me so much! I love wearing cardigans and jumpers and non removable waist ties either make your jumper go all bunchy or create a weird lump on your back, but they just get in the way!

2) Centre back zips.
I have a few reasons for my dislike of centre back zips, mainly because the dresses with centre back zips do not have corset lacing, which makes them really baggy and unflattering on me! The second is just that they look really awkward and weird from the back.

3) Petticoat de-floofing.
This is a common one for lolis, It's just annoying to leave with a perfectly fluffy petticoat, and five minutes in the wind and it looks like a soggy crepe.

4) The wind!
I love wearing hats, but when its windy it makes it near impossible to wear a boater hat or such, without looking like a fool trying to keep it on! Also, my hair messes up really easily.

5) Out of Stock
It happens all the time, I find something cute, reasonably priced, I check the measurements and its miles too big, or would fit me weirdly, this has to be THE most annoying thing ever. Because it happens with shoes as well!

I shall stop at five before I bore you all to death with my winging!

until next time,
Fern x

Lolita Wishlist

I have a rather extensive wishlist that has just kept growing since I first discovered lolita, the majority of it is sweet, since I feel I could co-ordinate sweet better, but I still love a good gothic piece. So, in no particular order- here goes!

Angelic Pretty's Starry Night Theatre JSK in black
Angelic Pretty's Tiara Rose JSK in sax
Angelic Pretty's Milky Berry JSK in mint
Angelic Pretty's Dream Sky JSK in lilac
Angelic Pretty's French Cafe JSK in blue
Angelic Pretty's Sugar Pansy JSK in lavender
Angelic Pretty's Fancy Box JSK in blue
Emily Temple Cute's Chocolate Ribbon JSK
Emily Temple Cute's Plushie Print JSK in pink
Moi Meme Moitie's Chandelier OP in white

Most of my list is jumperskirts, in fact all but one is! I don't know why I favour jumperskirts over skirts and one pieces, I think its just the flexibility that I could either wear it as a dress, or a skirt with a jumper over the top, I also need the extra warmth in windy, rainy ole' England! I also like how jumperskirts look without blouses in the summer (don't shoot me!) I know it's against the 'rules' but hey! If they're coordinated well, they look adorable.

Milky Berry has been on my list since the very beginning, except it was in pink to start off with! But I just love the contrast of the red berries and the mint background.

Until next time,
Fern x

Classic Floral Co-ord

I've suddenly fallen in love with classic lolita, and my friend and I were going shopping, so I whipped up a classic co-ord. I hope to add lots more classic and even some gothic stuff to my wardrobe, I feel so elegant! I apologise for the stuff in the background, my mum's having a clear out and her room has the biggest mirror!

My hair's a little boring, it was quite windy so I didn't want to do anything extravagant. I had a bit of trouble keeping my hat on, but luckily we were inside for most of the time! Next time I shall style it a bit more! I need a cute classic handbag too!

I love that Bodyline OP, its fully shirred around the waist so its super comfy and fits great!

Outfit Rundown -
OP - Bodyline
Jumper - Miss Selfridge
Shoes - Secret Shop
Tights - Ebay
Hat - Ebay

Until next time,
Fern x
